The second one, I had a plan in mind, super simple, but didn’t have the right colors - seems hot pink glass is super expensive. So I just looked at what we had, saw lots of blues and yellows, which I love, grabbed good sized chunks of each and decided to let the glass tell me what to do. Very little cutting on this one, just mostly to fill in some spaces. This will be high temp so it will come out all smooth.

The weather was not as craptastic as predicted and class was awesome, and I cannot wait to see how these votive candle holders come out.

This is the first one I did - took about 2/3 of the class, even though I had things all sketched out - lots of picking out colors and cutting, but worth it cause I wanted that mosaic-y look. This one will be low temp, so it will have all kinds of texture. (The white bit in the corner is just a name tag so the instructor know who did what.)

i am trying to buy as much supply as i can before tariffs kick in so shares are appreciated!

do any or artists or anyone else who scores things happen to have wrist exercises or stretches that help with your muscles doing that kind of thing? i think it's a pretty similar motion to exacto knife cutting if anyone has something for that instead

The snowflakes survived the kiln and they are gloriously wonky AND I LOVE THEM! (I legit had a dream last night that the glue failed before the glass could fuse and I had a pile of very shiny individual pieces.)

And even though snowflakes are freakin’ hard, it was actually a really good first thing to do at least for me, cause I learned a TON and I’m really excited for the next classes - I’m already “well, next time I should do X vs Y, and maybe Z instead of Q.”
